Chapter 7: A Toy Gun Worth Ten Million Dollars…

“What is it?” Ye Feng looked at Boy curiously. He noticed Boy’s expression seemed quite conflicted.
“I originally didn’t plan to tell you this secret, but since you seem like a decent person, I’ll tell you!” Boy sighed lightly. “Under no circumstances should you let your domain value turn negative.”
“The domain value can become negative?” Ye Feng’s eyes widened in curiosity.
“Don’t ask further. Just remember this!” Boy clearly avoided talking about this topic.
“Oh, then I’ll be going. Thank you!” Seeing Boy’s reaction, Ye Feng realized it wasn’t easy for him to share this secret, so he didn’t press further. He pushed open the door to the Virtual Realm and stepped out.
The door to the Virtual Realm slowly closed behind Ye Feng, and the game-like interface disappeared quickly.
The gold coin he had been holding in his fingers vanished as well. In its place, a gold coin floated in Ye Feng’s mind, as if it had always been there, never leaving.
Ye Feng lay on the bed, closed his eyes, and reflected on what had just happened. The gold coin in his mind clearly told him that it wasn’t a dream.
“What should I do now? Those four jade pieces cost a total of 415,000. Even if I can get a discount, it will still cost at least 400,000. Each jade piece is worth 200 points in domain value, so together they total just 1,000 points. I definitely can’t exchange domain value for money—otherwise, I’ll lose a lot if I don’t reach 1,000 points.” Ye Feng pondered in his mind.
“Over these six months, I’ve managed to save nearly 200,000. Add to that 40% of Brother Long’s 100,000 from last night, and it’s around 400,000 in total.” Ye Feng resolved to act. “If that money arrives, it should be enough to buy the four jade pieces. If not, I’ll buy the three cheaper ones first. I need to buy them quickly before someone else does.”
With that thought, Ye Feng hurriedly left his dormitory and headed to the ATM next to the school cafeteria.
He inserted his bank card into the ATM, entered the password, and clicked to check his balance.

“What’s going on?” Ye Feng stared at the numbers displayed on the ATM screen, feeling puzzled. “Units, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands… My account originally only had a little over 190,000. Why is it now over 800,000? Yesterday, my commission was at most around 300,000. Only President Liu knows my account number. Could he have transferred all that $100,000 to my account?”
Ye Feng took out his bank card and phone. After hesitating for a moment, he still dialed President Liu’s number.
A mechanical female voice came through the phone, “Sorry, the user you are calling has turned off their phone…”
“He even doesn’t answer the call…” Ye Feng smiled bitterly in frustration. He felt uneasy about this sudden windfall.
“Never mind. I’ll buy the items first, and I’ll repay him later!” After a brief distraction, Ye Feng shook his head and headed toward the bus stop outside the school.
About twenty minutes later, the bus returned from Ye Feng’s school to the antique market.
Ye Feng got off the bus quickly and strode toward the antique market.
“He’s back at the antique market again,” Qing Lang appeared at another corner outside the market, watching from afar as Ye Feng moved.
“He’s gone to the antique market again?” A charming female voice came through the phone. “Keep an eye on him. See what he’s up to! Record every move he makes and report back to me in detail!”
“Yes!” Qing Lang turned off his phone and quickly followed.
“Hey, why are you here again? Have you decided what kind of jade you want to buy?” Ye Feng returned to the first jade shop he had visited. The owner still remembered the boy who had wandered around his shop for over an hour earlier.
“Hmm, boss, I want these two pieces!” Ye Feng pointed to the two jade ornaments with a yellowish glow.
“These two are 39,800?” The owner stared at Ye Feng, clearly repeating the price to make sure he hadn’t heard wrong.
“Weren’t you going to sell them to me for 38,000?” Ye Feng smiled slyly.
“Well… this…” The owner hesitated for a long time before reluctantly agreeing, “38,000 it is. So, 76,000 for the two.”
“Boss, you’re really generous!” Ye Feng flattered him before handing over his bank card.

“No need for a bag; I’ll just take them! It’ll also save you some costs and labor!” Ye Feng took the two pieces of jade from the shop owner and put them in his jacket pocket, leaving the owner feeling frustrated.
“I wonder whose rich second generation it is who wastes such fine jade…” The shop owner watched Ye Feng leave, shaking his head helplessly…
After obtaining the two pieces of jade he had seen earlier from the other two shops, Ye Feng left happily.
“Good thing not many people buy such luxury items. If there were one less, I don’t know if I could reach 1,000 in value,” Ye Feng thought to himself.
Meanwhile, Qing Lang, who had been following him, dialed another phone call.
“Xiao Liuzi, follow that kid back to his school and keep monitoring him. I have some matters to attend to here. If you notice anything, call me immediately.” After hanging up, the man entered the first shop Ye Feng had gone into earlier.
…
“This time, the value should be enough.” Ye Feng returned to the empty dormitory, closed the door and curtains, and took out all four pieces of jade.
The colors of these four pieces were similar to the one Ye Feng had bought for 20 yuan before, but the other three were slightly darker. As for the jade piece worth 310,000, it was not only much larger than the other three but also had a color that wasn’t a faint yellow glow—it was instead a stream of yellow light constantly flowing across its surface. Clearly, its quality was far superior.
Upon closer inspection and comparison, Ye Feng realized he had truly stumbled upon a treasure.
“This one’s value must be over 200—maybe even double!” Ye Feng was overjoyed.
“Second-tier item, can be exchanged for 230 first-tier value. Do you wish to proceed with the exchange…”
“Yes!” Ye Feng hesitated not at all this time.
“Second-tier item, can be exchanged for 330 first-tier value…”
“Second-tier item, can be exchanged for 350 first-tier value…”
“Second-tier item, can be exchanged for 810 first-tier value…”
The amount of value obtained from the fourth exchange completely surprised Ye Feng.
“810… This one has so much value?” Ye Feng was delighted. “Now the total value should be… 1,902… I was worried I wouldn’t reach 1,000 before, but it’s almost 2,000 now.”
“I should be able to see all items below 10,000 in value now.” Ye Feng activated the Virtual Realm again.
“You’re back!” Boy saw Ye Feng entering through the door of the Virtual Realm from afar.

“Hehe, my domain value is now over a thousand. I should be able to see all items with a value below ten thousand, right?” Ye Feng said to Boy with a smile.
“Yes, that’s right. It’s just unclear what you’re looking for,” Boy nodded. “A domain value of 1,920 in the first level is equivalent to 1.92 million dollars in your world. In other words, anything that can be bought for up to 1.92 million dollars will be here, though there are also some items that don’t exist on your planet.”
“If someone returns to the dormitory while I’m here, will they be able to see me?” Ye Feng suddenly thought of this question.
“No, you’ve entered in a physical form. That means you’re already in the Virtual Realm, and no one is left where you were. The external form of the Virtual Realm, which exists in the form of gold coins, will also hide automatically,” Boy explained.
“Then I’m relieved. I can stay here for as long as I want, right?” Ye Feng looked at Boy with a curious gaze.
“This place is originally your backyard. Naturally, you can stay as long as you like. No one has the right to drive you away, not even the Virtual Realm itself,” Boy replied matter-of-factly, shaking his head.
“But there are so many items here. How can I find what I want? There must be some way to filter them, right?” Ye Feng glanced at the endless rows of white shelves, looking quite helpless.
“All you need to do is silently think of the keyword for what you want. You can even imagine what the item looks like and use that to search,” Boy patiently instructed Ye Feng.
“Then I’ll take a look at the items at the extreme end of what I can see. I want to know what items exist with a domain value of 9,999!” Ye Feng mused with a smile.
As soon as he finished speaking, the once-endless shelves underwent a huge change. Although there were still many items, it was now possible to faintly see where the end of the shelves was. Even some everyday items that could be found in ordinary supermarkets had turned into strange and unusual objects that Ye Feng had never seen before.
