Chapter 725: The Exile Abyss – Kasseli

This is a realm floating in the void of the lower realms. Unlike vast realms like the Abyss and the Netherworld, which seem immovable for thousands of years, it is nearly impossible for outsiders to locate it in the void; one can only reach it through specific spatial teleportation routes.

This is the Exile Abyss, Kasseli—a realm for exiles, a prison realm within the multiverse.

This dim, lifeless-looking realm suddenly saw a flash of light in the air, and two figures appeared, descending directly onto land devoid of any nutrients. This was one of the few dry areas in the realm, surrounded by vast swamps and quicksand. This was Kasseli’s first layer: the Layer of Filthy Swamps.

Kasseli is also known as the Sixfold Kingdom because it has six layers nested within each other. Each layer consists of numerous spheres arranged in rows, resembling tiny asteroids. An air vortex separates each sphere from the one below it. On some layers, the difference between each sphere and the one beneath it is minimal, and the number of such spherical planets per layer could be infinite.

It’s like wooden dolls—on each layer, the connected asteroids stretch infinitely in two opposite directions.

“The portal of the Tower of Ten Thousand Gates can only transport us to the Layer of Filthy Swamps. If we want to reach the deepest layer, the Layer of Deathly Desolation, we’ll have to rely on ourselves!”

Asasus, who had arrived in Kasseli’s realm, sighed and spoke to Tanobos, the undead demon beside him.

Perhaps because almost no one who enters Kasseli, this realm for exiles, ever manages to escape, they could speak freely without worrying about leaks. Thus, Tanobos, the undead demon who had remained silent since entering the Silver Throne, finally broke his silence.

“Don’t worry. Since we’ve made a deal, we’ll see it through to the end. Although the Layer of Deathly Desolation is terrifying, that troublesome Flesh Reaper is mostly in a dormant state year-round. As long as we don’t wake him up, the remaining enemies in the realm of death are no obstacle to me. Besides, even if he does discover us, with his strength far weaker than in ancient times, the two of us together can definitely handle him! What worries me more are the layers above the Layer of Deathly Desolation. Getting through them will be quite troublesome!”

After hearing what the Undead Demon said, Yasas laughed and said, “Of course I’m confident in Prince Tanobos’s strength. You’re a warrior who has the potential to become the second Undead King after Oscar. If you can rescue my Aedimachus, not only will our previous deal stand, but I’ll also provide an extra secret that can weaken my father’s power!”
If anyone were to hear this conversation, they would surely be extremely shocked.
As one of the most favored children of the Fallen Monarch, Prince Yasas, the Fallen Prince, was actually conspiring with outsiders to betray his father, the great Abyssal King Grant!
Once this news spread, many would surely cheer at it.
After all, due to the Fallen Monarch’s ways, he had accumulated countless enemies over the years—ranging from mortals in the material world to gods in the heavens, not to mention those demon lords in the abyss who coveted Grant’s power greatly.
If Yasas, who was Grant’s right-hand man, betrayed him, it would surely be a huge blow to the Fallen Monarch.
One could even obtain some unknown secrets about Grant from that Fallen Prince.
After hearing Yasas’s assurances, the Undead Demon Lord Tanobos became very interested and began to ask questions indirectly as they ventured deeper into the layers of the Swamp Hell.
Although Kasseli had always been regarded as part of the bottomless abyss, or simply as a combination of the abyss and the underworld, this was because Kasseli not only had rules similar to those of the abyss but was also another realm in the multiverse where souls resided, aside from the underworld and the abyss.
Of course, now there were nine more layers of hell in the lower realms, which also drew in fallen evil souls.
But Prince Asten, the most learned being in the multiverse, did not think so.
According to the insights of this learned god, Kasseli was very different from most layers of the abyss in terms of environment. This cosmic prison seemed to be the realm with the fewest dangerous features among the lower planes, as it might lack seas of strong acid and sulfuric gas layers, as well as regions of freezing cold or hellscapes ablaze with fire. But this initial impression vanished quickly, as the dangers in Kasseli’s six layers were often even more severe than those in the abyss.

In Kasseli, it is the most subtle and even unnoticeable things that pose danger. Even gods-level powerhouses have fallen here and remain imprisoned to this day, which has made the gods of the Pantheon, including those abyssal demons, stay away from this prison dimension.

As a result, adventurers who come to Kasseli for exploration, whether intentionally or by accident, are mostly unfortunate mortals below the status of demigods.

Furthermore, unlike the Underworld, once one enters Kasseli, even death does not bring rest. Souls that fall here face only eternal torment and degradation.

If Tanobos did not have enough confidence to escape Kasseli and a compelling reason to do so, Asas would never agree to such a deal. Even though he harbored deep hatred for his father, he would not reveal his intentions to betray him so quickly; he would wait for the right moment to launch his rebellion and deal a fatal blow to that irresponsible father.

After Asas left through the portal, Princess Belara, the half-lion woman, returned to the Tower of Thousands of Doors.

“Which portal did Asas enter?”

Faced with Belara’s question, the manager of the Tower of Thousands of Doors gave no response, remaining as lifeless as before. Clearly, without orders from the fallen monarch, she would not reveal any information about the portals.

Seeing this, Belara’s expression darkened, but she was not sure whether to act, as the other person was also a legendary powerhouse like her, and had guarded the Tower of Thousands of Doors for much longer than she had lived. Even without her father around, Belara still feared such a mysterious existence.

Finally, Belara calmed down and said, “Then you can take me to Asas’s portal. I need to teleport as well!”

Hearing this, the demon-subduing woman lifted her gaze slightly to look at Belara but said nothing, clearly indicating that Belara still did not have the qualifications.

A while later, Belara’s angry curses could be heard from outside the Tower of Thousands of Doors.

“Damn old witch! No wonder you’re so beautiful yet still not favored by your father. You deserve to stay alone in this empty tower…”
