Chapter 647: Siege of Oscar

Both the God of Intrigue and the Goddess of Night are the two most powerful supreme deities in the realm of darkness. Yet, the abyssal demons utterly disregard these deities, leading to years of growing resentment on their part. As agents of these supreme deities, Shaka and Hawking are well aware of their masters’ attitude toward the abyss.

The God of Thieves also had frequent confrontations with abyssal demons before shifting from evil to a neutral stance—of course, with hostility—so he had no objection to such an opportunity to strike at the abyss. Moreover, this plan didn’t require any significant involvement from their three factions; all Donald needed was the large number of scattered people in the Fallen Tarrin region.

“Then it’s settled. I’ve brought the magic array; all that’s left is to assemble it. As for announcing the news, that’s up to you three!”

The leaders of the three factions nodded in agreement and began taking action separately.

While Donald was busy planning to bolster Hell’s forces to resist the abyssal invasion, deep within the Pale Kingdom dimension of the abyss, the battle had reached a fierce intensity. Although over a dozen demon lords had fallen, the remaining seven true god-level abyssal warriors—including the incarnations of two abyssal giants and two demon gods—still held a numerical and strength advantage.

Oscar, truly worthy of being one of the once three abyssal giants—the Immortal Monarch—held his ground despite the encirclement. He even managed to defeat one demon lord, though he suffered severe injuries in the process. For a demon god from the realm of immortality, ordinary injuries meant little; only forces related to the soul and laws could truly threaten him.

The Destroyer Monarch and the exposed incarnation of the Fallen Monarch were both lower deity incarnations, but due to their high power levels, they possessed strength comparable to mid-tier deities. The lower incarnation of the Spider Queen also had combat prowess surpassing that of ordinary lower deity incarnations.

The semi-divine incarnation of the Immortal Goddess of Vengeance, VenLisa, was relatively weaker, but still stronger than the other three. The remaining three demon lords were all at the lower deity level. Suppressed by the rules of the Pale Kingdom and the domain of the Immortal King, they could only exert half-divine combat strength, making them the weakest group present—hence why Oscar seized the chance to defeat one of them.

“Haha… Die! Oscar, this time it’s your avatar that falls here, and next time it will be your true self…”
Eustachius screamed frantically, unleashing relentless attacks on the King of the Undead.
The other powerful beings present dared not approach the Destroyer Monarch, fearing being caught in his attacks. In his madness, the Destroyer Monarch cared neither for allies nor enemies—anything in his sight was meant to be destroyed.
Besides, they weren’t allies at all, but rivals.
As for the other avatar of the Abyssal Titan present, it wore the guise of a human gentleman. Yet its slightly dark skin and elfin pointed ears revealed that this handsome man was not a true human.
“Oscar, we used to be the best of friends and partners. It’s a pity you betrayed that bond. It really saddens me!”
Though the Fallen Monarch spoke with regret, he showed no mercy in his actions. His demeanor was impeccable, even in battle, without any actions that could tarnish his image. This Abyssal Titan wielded a spear-like divine weapon. Though he didn’t strike often, his attacks always came at the perfect moment, posing a great threat to the King of the Undead.
“Shut up! You sneaky serpent, Grant! Even if I became friends with the gods of the heavens, I’d never give you, a hypocrite to the extreme, another glance!”
Although Oscar’s true divine rank wasn’t that of an upper god, as one of the few great creators in the multiverse, his combat strength was truly comparable to that of upper gods. This was both Oscar’s weakness and his potential.
Compared to the other two of the former three Abyssal Titans—the Destroyer Monarch Eustachius and the Fallen Monarch Grant—though their powers were somewhat stronger than Oscar’s, innate limitations prevented them from becoming great creators like him. They were confined to domains such as destruction and greed, and without breaking those limits, their strength could hardly improve further.
If Oscar continued to advance in the realm of death, he might uncover the true essence of death and become a true upper god. Coupled with the power granted to him by the Abyssal Will, his strength could surpass theirs by far.
This was also the main reason why the Destroyer Monarch and the Fallen Lord hated the King of the Undead so much and tried every means to destroy him.

Oscar may not possess a destructive power on par with Osthadius, and the territories it controls are insignificant compared to Grant’s Triple Kingdoms. Yet, its true strength lies in its cults in the primary material world. Especially among evil races such as orcs, goblins, and giants, they revere the King of the Undead greatly, not to mention the numerous human followers with corrupted minds and vile actions.

Although the followers of the King of the Undead have suffered repeated blows from gods and demons, a portion of them still remains hidden in various planes of the material world, waiting for their great true god to return. This is why Oscar was able to quickly recover to the level of a mid-tier god even after being defeated once.

The reason it has remained hidden is not out of fear of returning to the abyss, but rather because it has been plotting in secret to reclaim its former divine artifacts and territories and achieve godhood at once. Unfortunately, just as its plan was about to succeed, it was interrupted by the incarnation of a hateful and powerful true god. Not only did it lose its most powerful trump card, but the news of its resurrection was also spread.

Frustrated that news of its return had spread so quickly, Oscar felt desperate and decided to accelerate its plan. It seized the body and power of the King of the Werewolves, intending to combine the forces of the 422nd and 421st abyssal planes to reach godhood, then seek out that true god to reclaim the Book of Doom. Yet again, its plan was disrupted, not only losing the chance to take control of the 422nd plane but also losing its most loyal servant, Dorison.

Having no choice but to occupy the Pale Kingdom of the 421st plane and gain its power support, Oscar’s strength, which had dropped to the level of a mid-tier god, recovered to its peak. Unfortunately, the power of a small to medium-sized abyssal plane was not enough to allow it to break through to godhood and regain its former strength. Still, even so, facing an onslaught from powerful opponents, Oscar managed to hold its ground thanks to its peak mid-tier godly power.

In fact, with its formidable strength, it had a good chance of breaking free from the siege. Yet, it seemed to be waiting for something, persisting in staying in the Pale Kingdom and fighting a fierce battle against its enemies. The powerful beings besieging Oscar thought the King of the Undead was unwilling to give up that plane, unaware that what really mattered to Oscar was something entirely different.
