Chapter 509: Capturing Giant Dragons

After all, the Dragon Kingdom was still new, and the population of giant dragons was too small. It would take at least several decades for them to grow in number, assuming Donald could control the time in the divine kingdom. If left to develop naturally, given the breeding cycle of giant dragons, it might take hundreds of years!
So, in addition to the created giant dragons living in the Dragon Kingdom and breeding among themselves, the powerful figures in Dalaran were also tasked with going outside to search for and capture strong dragon species to replenish the dragon bloodline in the Dragon Kingdom.
Among those sent out to capture dragon species, the Eternal King Nozdormu achieved the most success. After all, since the giant dragons migrated overseas a thousand years ago, few people in the main world had seen them flying in the sky these days.
However, as a Bronze Dragon King whose power was close to that of a demi-god, Nozdormu could easily attract creatures with dragon blood by displaying his dragonly might in the wilderness and overseas regions.
After exploring the areas overseas, this powerful divine dragon brought back three green dragons that had wandered away. From them, he learned the direction in which the giant dragons had migrated.
Giant dragons are intelligent creatures that live either in groups or independently. Usually, they only gather together during the mating season; otherwise, they live alone in their own territories. Each dragon claims an area of at least ten square miles as its domain, leaving behind a scent to ward off other powerful creatures.
Although their territories are scattered across different places, they are not too far apart from each other, usually within the same region, to facilitate gathering or visiting in case of emergencies.
This is still within normal limits, as, given the flying speed of giant dragons and their small population, such distances seem vast to humans but are merely short trips for them, taking only a few days.
Having learned the direction of the dragon migration, Nozdormu continued exploring in that direction as instructed by Donald. Sure enough, he encountered seven giant dragons along the way: three brass dragons living together, two adult ones and one juvenile, a pair of adult red dragons, as well as one blue dragon and one bronze dragon.
Realizing that further exploration might yield more discoveries, Nozdormu took these seven dragons with him. These dragons did not get along well with each other, as the hostility between metal dragons and color dragons was ingrained in their bloodlines—a fact that was hard to change.

If it weren’t for Nozdorm conquering all these dragons with his formidable strength, who knows what chaos might have ensued! Even so, they were delayed along the way by these dragons, greatly slowing down their progress. Just as Nozdorm grew impatient and on the verge of losing control, he suddenly detected the presence of his kind ahead—pure and unadulterated. Delighted, the Bronze Dragon King scolded the arguing dragons that had given him a headache, then took the lead in flying toward that direction. Sure enough, a few minutes later, they saw a sizable group of islands in the distance. As the dragons approached, a powerful aura emanated from the islands, accompanied by a dragon roar. Hearing this roar, Nozdorm became excited immediately, for he could tell from it that the dragon was a female—and a powerful one at that. It was difficult for humans to distinguish the gender of dragons from their roars, but for the dragons themselves, it was quite easy! Although Nozdorm already had many dragons under his command, none matched his strength, so as the Bronze Dragon King, he had been alone for years. Now that a powerful female dragon at least at the legendary level had appeared, how could he not be excited? Even just hearing her strong roar, without even seeing her, he was already eager to engage in a fierce battle! Though lustful, Nozdorm hadn’t forgotten the purpose of his journey, so he immediately prayed to his master, Donald. “One legendary dragon and seven other dragons—this should satisfy my master! Maybe he’ll even grant me this legendary female dragon!” he thought happily. Sensing his follower’s prayer, Donald, who was observing the population of creatures in his divine kingdom, immediately detected Nozdorm’s location through the thread of faith. Using the Bronze Dragon King as a coordinate, he instantly teleported to the depths of those islands. “Great master, your most devoted servant brings you these spoils!” Donald nodded in satisfaction after glancing at the seven colorful dragons prostrate on the ground, feeling the might of the true god. “You’ve done well!” With a wave of his hand, he sent the seven dragons to his divine kingdom and placed them in the Dragon Realm. The dragons who entered the divine kingdom were then instructed by other dragons about the rules of the Dragon Realm. Donald subdued his own aura and focused his attention on the dragon that was about to appear ahead.

Sensing the other dragon’s aura, Donald immediately determined the strength level of this unknown giant dragon. “It’s actually a rare legendary dragon. To reach such a level, it must be at least an elder dragon, right?” Donald’s words clearly made Nozdorm look embarrassed. “An elder dragon? Good heavens! Do I have to give my first time to an old female dragon?” Although Nozdorm appeared massive, at least on the level of an ancient dragon, and seemed quite mature in thought, he was actually still a virgin dragon who had been born less than ten years ago! Fortunately, Donald didn’t know what the dragon beside him was thinking, otherwise he would have found it both amusing and frustrating. In fact, he did intend to use Nozdorm as a breeding tool. Since dragons are a race that relies on hereditary lineage, they can even pass on soul memories through their bloodline, meaning the stronger the dragon parents, the more talented offspring they can produce. As for hybridization between different dragon species, there was actually no need to worry at all. According to a book on dragon lineage written by a scholar a thousand years ago, purebred dragons, regardless of their parents’ species, would only inherit one parent’s lineage. In other words, a golden dragon mating with a red dragon would produce either a golden or a red dragon offspring—no other hybrids could arise—this was different from higher intelligent races like humans and elves. As for those dragon subspecies with partially impure bloodlines, the situation was more complicated. Due to the irregular mating habits of male dragons, creatures with dragon bloodline traits could be found among almost all creatures of medium size and above. Thus, these subspecies could not be studied under a unified framework. While Donald and his servant were lost in their thoughts, the dragon that had sensed the presence of the foreign dragon had already flown up into the sky from the island.
