Chapter 503: Separation of True Bodies
Speaking of which, Donald reaped great benefits from the battle in the New World, especially with the emergence of new domains and divine offices. He could have immediately formed a powerful divine office that would allow him to reach the rank of an upper god and achieve a significant breakthrough, but he didn’t rush to do so. Instead, he planned to wait until he had established a divine kingdom, ascended to the throne, and stabilized as a lower god before rapidly enhancing his strength without any risks.
His goal was at least to become an upper god, so rushing for quick success by taking shortcuts in the early stages wasn’t a wise move. Such hasty and reckless actions could easily disrupt his future development. It was better to steadily build up his strength and then make a breakthrough when the time was right!
After careful consideration, he decided to start by establishing a divine kingdom.
“However, before creating the divine kingdom, there’s one more thing that must be done first!”
When he first ignited the divine flame, he simply divided it into two to facilitate the development of two paths for true gods in the future, without creating two separate entities.
Now that a part of him devoted to the Faith God was ready to start building a divine kingdom, he needed a new body.
Although it wouldn’t be a problem to use the true body of the Law God to establish the Faith God’s kingdom—after all, these two kingdoms, one internal and one external, wouldn’t affect each other—the Law God, as a law-based deity, wasn’t subject to the restrictions of the Faith God. In the future, it would inevitably travel outside, so another true god would need to reside at the core of the kingdom—a role that an avatar couldn’t fulfill.
Thus, it became essential to create another true body belonging to the Faith God!
In fact, if he could ask allies like the Goddess of Agriculture, he could completely avoid the process of creating his own kingdom. He could simply choose a plane of existence within the territory controlled by the middle-tier gods in the celestial realm and establish it as his divine kingdom. In fact, most neutral gods did this.
For example, the Wilds of Freedom was a good choice—a large plane in the celestial realm governed jointly by three powerful goddesses: the Goddess of Agriculture, Eilien; the Goddess of the Forest, Mekelly; and the God of Love and Dreams, Alois.
Originally just a medium-sized primitive plane in the celestial realm, the Wilds of Freedom had been developed over years by these three goddesses and is now one of the largest regions in the upper realms. Many demigods, neutral true gods, and weaker celestial races seek refuge in this vast plane.
But doing so undoubtedly seemed like relying on others; unless there were no other options, Donald didn’t want to depend on others. After all, he wasn’t incapable. He might not be able to create a vast plane like the Wilds at once, but he could definitely establish his own divine kingdom that rivaled that of a true lower god!
This time, Donald didn’t intend to use his own demi-plane. Its development was already thriving, showing signs of evolving into a full material plane—so let those believers live there in peace!
With the Book of Truth, he could create as many planes as he wanted.
He also had another option: the divine kingdom of the God of Winter Wolves, which existed on the periphery of the Land of Truth alongside the demi-plane.
However, Donald soon abandoned this option too.
The main reason he changed his mind was that he now had two divine essences constantly drawing faith power from hundreds of thousands of orc believers. Thus, creating his own divine kingdom was the best fit for him, as he could fully control it from the start without needing to gradually decipher it over time.
Moreover, this divine kingdom had a more suitable ruler—the King of the North, who had inherited most of the duties of the God of Winter Wolves. This gift would surely satisfy him, but Donald didn’t intend to give it away for free.
With these thoughts, Donald’s divine light flashed. He left his main world and entered the Land of Truth, walking into the hall where the summoning altar stood.
Before creating his divine kingdom, he needed to use the Book of Truth to forge for himself a true body as perfect as his current one.
After releasing a pool of his golden divine blood, Donald channeled his divine power, causing the runes on the summoning altar to glow.
Soon, a tall, imposing figure twenty-five feet in height appeared on the altar.
Its handsome face was as perfect as a statue, and its brown hair and eyes from its mortal days had turned pale blue due to the influence of its divine blood—a result of the combination of natural divinity, high elf bloodline, and the hero class of the Demon Hunter.
Its skin, a pale blue-white shade, was smooth as finely carved marble. Though it didn’t seem particularly strong, when its muscles tensed, faint muscle contours would appear on its surface. Even a regular legendary weapon striking it would only spark a few times before leaving no damage at all.
The appearance of the new body was majestic like that of a deity. Although it did not possess the divine fire or divine essence, it was endowed with Donald’s inherent bloodline and divinity. Outside the altar, Donald took a liking to this body that resembled his own. He raised his hand and released a brilliant light—this was the part of his soul separated from his divine essence, along with the divine essence belonging to the God of Faith. Divine fire surged within this essence, and soon the light merged into the forehead of the new body. Then, ripples of divine law spread out. Since the soul had already been transformed through the process of igniting the divine fire, only the physical transformation was left to complete. Taking this opportunity, Donald expended some more of his soul power to strengthen this separated part of his soul to a level nearly equal to its original state. The transformation was quickly completed. Donald, whose soul was now complete as the God of Faith, took control of the new body. He suddenly opened his eyes, and as his gaze swept around, a profound pressure filled the space within dozens of feet around him. This was due to being within the Land of Truth, where the rules of the divine realm exerted their influence; otherwise, the powerful pressure of a true god might have been felt over hundreds of miles. In front of him, those with weak wills beneath a true god would instantly lose all confidence and flee in panic. Even if they could temporarily resist the divine pressure, they would still be subjected to corresponding suppression, losing their ability to think clearly—a factor that could prove fatal in battle. “Very good! My strength is now basically back to that of the God of Faith before it was divided!” Donald said to his other self after moving his new body around. “That’s great! Now you are Donald, the Guardian of Nature and God of Summoning! As for me, I will remain hidden for now. This way, even if you perish one day, you can be revived through me! As long as I stay in the primary material world, not even a higher god like the Lord of Dawn can do anything to me!”
