Chapter 195: Demolishing the House

The dust slowly settled. In the courtyard, a little girl holding a tray stared wide-eyed in horror at the collapsed gate, her mouth agape and unable to close it for a long time.
A little behind her, on a brand-new bamboo rocking chair, sat a plump woman in her thirties with a heavily protruding belly. She held a sunflower seed to her mouth, unaware as more gray-brown seeds slipped through her fingers. She just gazed blankly at the confident Lin Dong, unable to sort out her confused thoughts.
The one who had knocked on the door just now was clearly that old wretch—how, in the blink of an eye, had he turned into a majestic and imposing young man?
“Lin, Master Lin…” Seeing the foolish expression on the vicious woman’s face, Feng Changzhai felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction. But soon, he worried that he might scare his unborn grandson, though he didn’t know how to bring it up with Lin Dong.
Lin Dong smiled, pretending not to hear Feng Changzhai’s reminder. He had come to the Feng family with the intention of causing a big disturbance.
Since he couldn’t just drive them away, the only option was to take things slowly, planting a deep sense of terror in the hearts of those wicked son and daughter-in-law.
Lin Dong stepped through the gate, with Yun Lan following closely behind, untouched by a speck of dust, like a graceful fairy. Feng Changzhai felt a bit fearful, but since everyone helping him had already entered, it would be shameful for him to back out now.
Gritting his teeth, Feng Changzhai bravely pulled the equally reluctant Feng Liang into the courtyard.
Stepping on the bright red gate, Lin Dong smiled leisurely, “This gate isn’t very sturdy!”
Finally, the plump woman—Feng family’s vicious wife, Liang Chuanzhen—came to her senses. She stood up abruptly and roared, “You old wretch! Where did you find such an insolent brat who dares to cause trouble in the Feng family?”
Her voice was shrill and piercing. Yun Lan frowned, about to make her shut up, but Lin Dong grabbed her arm.
“No rush! We need to take this slowly. If we don’t let them live in fear forever, their true colors will show in a few months,” Lin Dong said softly.
Yun Lan nodded slightly but tried to pull her arm away, only to find Lin Dong’s hand firmly holding hers. Turning to look, she saw his seemingly innocent smile: “That vicious woman’s voice is so loud it’s giving me a headache. Can I borrow your arm to steady myself?”
Yun Lan was speechless. Lin Dong took this reaction as consent.

With a gentle squeeze, even through the sleeves, one could feel its delicate and soft elasticity. Lin Dong felt it carefully again before remembering his purpose. He smacked his lips and looked up, only to be stunned. Feng Changzhai had somehow stepped forward and was meekly allowing Liang Chuanzhen to curse loudly.

Seeming to sense Lin Dong’s surprise, Yun Lan said calmly, “Is your dizziness better?”

“A little,” Lin Dong replied honestly.

Yun Lan released a slight burst of spiritual energy, pushing Lin Dong’s hand away.

As if nothing had happened, Lin Dong strode over to Liang Chuanzhen. Ignoring her swollen belly as she cursed at Feng Changzhai, he carelessly lay down in the rocking chair she had vacated and kicked her with his right foot.

“Bring me a cup of tea!”

Liang Chuanzhen was astonished, staring at Lin Dong in confusion, unable to understand what he was doing at the Feng family’s house.

“Shopkeeper Lin, please wait a moment. I’ll go get the tea,” Feng Changzhai said, as if waking from a dream, thinking Lin Dong really wanted tea. He quickly apologized and rushed toward the hall.

“Get tea? You brat! You come to cause trouble at my Feng family, and you still want tea?” Liang Chuanzhen grabbed Feng Changzhai and pulled him back harshly. “You old wretch! Don’t think bringing someone here will scare me. Get lost! Take that bastard far away from here!”

“Such a stingy person. I’ll have to get it myself,” Lin Dong said, ignoring Feng Changzhai, who staggered back, and not even glancing at Liang Chuanzhen. He stood up and walked toward the hall as if no one else was there.

“Stop! You…”

Liang Chuanzhen tried to grab Lin Dong, but a crisp crack silenced her shouts. Turning around, she saw the rocking chair had shattered into pieces.

“What kind of crappy rocking chair is this? It was brand new! If I don’t smash that bamboo shop tomorrow, I’m not Liang Chuanzhen!”

Cursing violently, Liang Chuanzhen turned away. Lin Dong was already gone. As soon as she stepped forward, noises of destruction came from the hall.

Panicked, Liang Chuanzhen ignored Feng Changzhai, who was also rushing in, and hurried into the hall.

In the blink of an eye, the inside was in complete chaos.

The eight-immortals table and the grand armchairs had turned into piles of wood. The tall flower vases were shattered into countless pieces, and the paintings hanging on the walls to decorate the space were in terrible condition…

Liang Chuanzhen felt like going crazy. Destroying everything upon entering without reason—how domineering! But she had never feared anyone more domineering than this. Gritting her teeth, she turned around and shouted, “Xiao Cui, call that dead man back! Tell him someone is destroying the house and ask him to bring a few people here.”

In the yard, Xiao Cui held a tray filled with various snacks, flustered and at a loss.
“You little brat, do you want to be beaten? Hurry up and call for help!” Liang Chuanzhen was so angry that her eyes bulged. She looked around, grabbed a half-log, and swung it at Xiao Cui.
With a cry, Xiao Cui acted like a wounded rabbit—she threw the tray into the air, letting the sunflower seeds and peanuts fall on her head, then ran away.
“Shopkeeper Lin, w-why are you destroying the house?” Feng Changzhai was frantic, spinning in circles. With this mess, it was even less likely for that wretched woman and her son to let him move back in.
“Feng, just believe me and find a place to watch the show,” Lin Dong said with a smile.
“Great! So it really is you, old pervert, who’s causing trouble.”
Liang Chuanzhen was furious. She found another log on the ground, held her stomach with one hand, raised the log with the other, and charged at Feng Changzhai to hit him.
Lin Dong was amazed. This woman had gone beyond the limits of a fierce woman. Even if Li Yunfeng came, she might feel inferior.
Over by the side, Yun Lan couldn’t stand by any longer. A blue sword appeared in her hand in an instant. In the next blink, a blue light flashed, and the log in Liang Chuanzhen’s hand fell off at the edge of her fingers.
Liang Chuanzhen stopped mid-charge, staring at the small piece of wood in her hand, confused as to what evil had befallen her. How could a chair leg simply break like that?
“You’re using a sledgehammer to kill a chicken!”
Lin Dong shook his head in amazement. Such amazing sword skills—just like how he had silently used spiritual power to collapse the rocking chair. If not observed closely, it seemed utterly powerless.
As Liang Chuanzhen’s attention shifted back to Feng Changzhai, who was shrinking back in fear, Lin Dong suddenly punched the wall.
Bang!
Chalk flew everywhere, and the brick wall sank slightly.
Liang Chuanzhen was terrified and kept retreating.
“What do you want?”
“To see if your wall is strong enough.” Lin Dong glanced at his dust-free fist. He had only used spiritual power to protect it, yet the effect was quite good.
“Don’t think just because you have some strength you’re amazing. Wait and see—prove it if you can.” Although Liang Chuanzhen was rude, she wasn’t stupid. If that punch landed on her, it could easily break her arms or legs. So, though she spoke toughly, she backed away against the wall toward the door.
“Fine, I’ll wait.” Lin Dong pushed Liang Chuanzhen out of the hall step by step, then waved his hand impatiently. “Go get some noodles.”
“You’re telling me to go get noodles?” Liang Chuanzhen couldn’t figure out whether she was crazy or Lin Dong was.

“It seems I’ll have to do it myself!” Lin Dong smiled and headed straight for the kitchen.
“Stop! Stay right there…” Liang Chuanzhen was furious but dared not chase after Lin Dong. He gritted his teeth, glared at Feng Changzhai, and charged forward.
Boom…
The wooden door of the kitchen flew out like a cannonball. Lin Dong turned to look at Liang Chuanzhen, who had stopped in his tracks, and said calmly, “If Old Feng and Xiao Liang lose a single hair, don’t blame me if I make you lose ten or eight.”
Bloodshot eyes filled Liang Chuanzhen’s face as he raised his hand, unable to strike Feng Changzhai.
In the next moment, clanging noises came from the kitchen. Through the door now uncovered, fragments of pots and pans could be seen flying around—quite a sight!
Watching Liang Chuanzhen tremble, Feng Changzhai felt pity for the grandson in her womb, but his own intense satisfaction made his body tremble slightly as well. He was no longer as anxious about Lin Dong causing trouble in the kitchen as he had been when he saw what was happening in the main hall.
Since the main hall had already been damaged, he didn’t care if the kitchen suffered more. As for the losses, it was just a matter of money. Although the Feng family wasn’t extremely wealthy, they didn’t lack the funds to repair the house or buy new furniture. Besides, that brat had somehow earned quite a bit of silver recently.
“Who dares to cause trouble in my Feng family?”
As soon as Lin Dong stepped out of the kitchen, a roar came from outside. Turning around, he saw a somewhat thin young man standing outside, glaring at the entire courtyard. Behind him, several young men, some fat and some thin, crossed their arms, searching for the culprit.
Yun Lan, who stood out like a pearl amidst the mundane world, came into their sight for a moment before they quickly averted their gazes.
“Dead bastard, you’re finally back,” Liang Chuanzhen cried out, rushing toward Feng Jingtang. With tears and snot streaming down her face, she reached out and scratched his face. “If you’d been a little later, I would’ve been beaten to death!”
“This is outrageous! Someone actually dares to cause trouble in my Feng family!” Feng Jingtang was furious. After taking in Feng Changzhai and his granddaughter, he gritted his teeth and said, “Old man, you’re quite skilled! You even managed to find help.”
“You can get help too,” Lin Dong said as he strode to the center of the courtyard.
“You, kid?” Feng Jingtang scanned the courtyard again, confirming that aside from Yun Lan, who made people feel ashamed and unable to look directly at her, there was no one else. He immediately turned to the men behind him and shouted, “Brothers, I’m counting on you today.”
“Don’t worry, Feng bro. We’ll have this kid on his knees soon.”
The four young men, full of energy, sneered as they charged at Lin Dong.

“Be careful, he’s very strong,” Liang Chuanzhen couldn’t help but warn.
“Don’t worry. Can his strength surpass that of four people?” Feng Jingtang’s face twisted into a fierce expression as he glared menacingly. Feng Changzhai was so terrified that he lowered his head and stepped back, while Feng Liang felt as if he were facing a devil, wishing he could burrow into Feng Changzhai’s back.
“Is that so?”
Feng Jingtang turned to look, only to see Lin Dong dodging their attacks like a cunning rabbit before grabbing one of their arms and squeezing hard.
A crisp sound followed, followed by a scream as agonizing as that of a slaughtered pig.
In the blink of an eye, another person’s arm was seized.
Before Feng Jingtang and Liang Chuanzhen could even understand what was happening, all four of them had fallen to the ground, writhing in pain. It wasn’t until Lin Dong stepped forward with a sinister smile that the couple felt as if they were in an ice cave, a chill rising from deep within them as they recoiled in fear.
Reaching Feng Jingtang, Lin Dong said coldly, “Are there any more helpers?”
“Helpers? Brother Liang, let go! I’m Brother Liang’s brother-in-law!” Feng Jingtang, seizing at straws, spoke bravely but nervously. “If you dare hurt me, Brother Liang will chop off your hands and feed them to the dogs.”
“That’s right! My brother—my brother is Liang Mulong! The boss of Hongwei Casino, Liang Mulong!”
The name Liang Mulong seemed to carry infinite power, causing Liang Chuanzhen’s trembling body to stop instantly as he perked up.
“Alright, go find some help then!”
Lin Dong squeezed hard, and with a crack, Feng Jingtang’s right arm went limp.
Before any more screams could be heard, Lin Dong kicked him, sending Feng Jingtang flying out of the courtyard like a cannonball.
Turning to look at Liang Chuanzhen, who was watching Feng Jingtang leave, Lin Dong asked, “There’s no noodles in the kitchen. Is there any fruit or something at home?”
Liang Chuanzhen’s lips trembled; he couldn’t utter a word.
“It seems I’ll have to find it myself.”
Lin Dong clapped his hands, not blaming Liang Chuanzhen for not knowing how to host guests.
